§ 10-63. Sources.

  • (a)

    The firefighters pension fund shall consist of the following monies which shall be set apart by the city treasurer:

    (1)

    All funds or payments paid in or contributed by the regular firemen of the city, or withheld from their salaries, as payments or contributions to such fund as provided by law.

    (2)

    The proceeds of any city taxes that may be levied for such firefighters pension fund by the city.

    (3)

    All rewards in money, fees, gifts and emoluments that may be paid or given for, or on account of extraordinary service by the fire department, or any member thereof, except when allowed to be retained by competitive awards.

    (4)

    Any money, real estate or personal property received by the board of trustees of the firefighters pension fund.

    (5)

    Any other fees, money or collections, now or hereafter required by law to be paid into such pension fund.

    (b)

    Such payments are to be made into, and placed into such firefighters pension fund from and after June 1, 1996.
