§ 12-51. Private parking areas may be considered public for enforcement purposes; record.

(a)

For the purposes of enforcing this article, privately owned or occupied parking lots and adjoining privately owned driveways, sidewalks and open spaces shall be considered as "public places" or "public ways", if so requested by the owners or legal occupants thereof.

(b)

The police chief is hereby directed to keep, or have kept in his behalf, a file of all such requests made by the owners or occupants of any private parking lots or other areas as described in paragraph (a) of this section.
