Latest version.
  • No person shall drive any vehicle upon those streets or public highways designated from time to time by the council twenty-miles-per-hour zones at a speed greater than twenty (20) miles per hour or at any lesser speed that is unreasonable or improper, having regard to the traffic and the use of the way, where such a lesser speed might endanger the life or limb or injure the property of any person. If the speed on such designated streets or public highways exceeds twenty (20) miles per hour, such rates of speed shall be prima facie evidence that the person operating such vehicle is running at a rate of speed greater than is reasonable and proper, having regard to the traffic and the use of the way, or so as to endanger life or limb or injure the property of any person.
