    The surcharge shall be calculated as follows:

    a.

    BOD surcharge Cost = (BOD - 200 mg/l) x 8.34 x V x $0.014

    b.

    SS Surcharge = (SS - 250 mg/l) x 8.34 x V x $0.15

    c.

    Where:

    V = User's volume of waste water in units of millions of gallons per day (MGD)
    BOD = Average concentration of biochemical oxygen demand in the user's waste water expressed in mg/l
    SS = Average concentration of suspended solids in the user's waste water expressed in mg/l
    200 = Concentration of biochemical oxygen demand in normal sewage expressed in mg/l
    250 = Concentration of suspended solids in normal sewage expressed in mg/l
    8.34 = Factor to convert mg/l and million gallons per day to pounds per day (#/lbs.)
