§ 24-124. Surveys and investigations.

  • It shall be the duty of the director of the department of public works or his/her designee to cause surveys and investigations to be made of commercial, industrial, and customers with a high potential of risk to the public water distribution system to determine whether actual or potential hazards to the city public water supply may exist. Such surveys and investigations shall be made a matter of public record and shall be repeated at least every two (2) years, or as often as the director of the department of public works shall deem necessary. The surveys and investigations shall be conducted by the city plumbing and electrical inspector and the director of the department public works or his or her designee. Records of such surveys shall be maintained and available for a period of at least five (5) years.
