§ 2-359. Economic development director.

(a)

Office created, appointment, oath, bond.

(1)

There is hereby created the office of the economic development director, who shall be appointed in accordance with section 2-356(f) of this chapter. The salary of the economic development director shall be established by the city council by ordinance. The economic development director shall perform his or her duties under the supervision of the city administrator.

(2)

The economic development director shall receive such compensation as shall be determined by the city council from time to time.

(3)

The economic development director shall furnish a bond in such amount and with such surety as may be approved by the city council; such bond shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance of his or her duties. The cost of the bond shall be paid by the city.
