§ 4-51. Private parking areas may be considered public for enforcement purposes; records.

  • (a)

    For the purposes of enforcing this article, privately owned or occupied parking lots and privately owned driveways, sidewalks, and open spaces shall be considered as "public places" or "public ways" if so requested by the owners or legal occupants thereof.

    (b)

    The chief of police is hereby directed to keep, or have kept on his behalf a file of all such requests made by the owners or legal occupants of any private parking lots or other areas described in paragraph (a) of this section.
