§ 7-1. Dangerous and unsafe building procedures.

(a)

The dangerous and unsafe building procedures, which are attached hereto and hereby incorporated by reference as though fully stated herein, are hereby adopted.

(b)

The city building official is hereby authorized, pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11-31-1, to enforce and administer the city's building codes, and to administer the demolition, repair or enclosure, and removal of garbage, debris and other hazardous, noxious or unhealthy substances or materials from property burdened by structures that are open, vacant, and an immediate and continuing hazard to the community following requisite notice.
